Will it post without my approval?

Only what you have already approved. Drafts sit in a queue until you accept them; approval is what schedules a post, and you can pull anything back out before it goes.

Do the posts sound like me?

Closer than a generic model, because of the voice profile — but they are drafts. The accounts that do well with this edit most posts rather than approving them straight through.

How is this different from Buffer or Hypefury?

Schedulers assume you arrive with the writing done; their job is the calendar. This drafts as well as schedules, and shares a voice profile with the LinkedIn, Reddit and Hacker News agents so one workspace covers several channels.

Does it need X API access?

Publishing connects through X's OAuth flow. Reply scanning runs through Apify rather than the API, which is why it works without a paid API tier.
